The Langtang area is easily accessible from the Kathmandu valley, passing first through the foothills, ridges and forests of the region. Unlike Langtang, Helambu does not boast lofty peaks, but it does provide technically easy access to summits that can be seen glistening in the sun. Langtang trekking combines the remote and spectacular valley of Langtang, with the high mountain lakes at Gosainkund and the beautiful Helambu Valley. Visit the beautiful Langtang National park and then trek to the end of the valley to view the wonderful ice flutes of Gyangchempo.
Following the Trisuli River north side of Kathmandu, we travel through Trisuli Bazaar and Dhunche to Syabrubensi, a Sherpa village located at the very edge of the Langtang National Park. We then swing east into the Langtang valley, crossing the river several times as we travel up along a gorge-like, lower section of the valley. We pass through oak and rhododendron forests and even cross glacial moraine on our way to the Tamang village of Langtang.
There you will meet Glance Himalaya’s Representative and transferred to hotel by private tourist vehicle. Evening Explore local market nearby hotel.
Breakfast then sightseeing trip will start at 9AM. We will provide a private vehicle and professional city guide and we will visit UNESCO world heritage sights including Pasupatinath temple, Buddhanath, Shyambhunath and Kathmandu durbar square. Evening, final briefing about Langtang trek and preparations.
Early morning breakfast and then drive to Syabru Besi by Land cruiser via Trisuli Bazar and Dhunche. We will witness nice scenery of White Mountains of Mt. Annapurna II, Manasalu, Ganesh Himal and other minor peaks are visible from Kakani (along the route) and as well as green scenery of hillock, rivers, village, while driving to Syapru Besi.
We start our trek after the breakfast by following the Langtang River. After crossing the suspension bridge, the trails ascent ridge to Paira Lodge and after, the trails, gradually ascent. Today we might be feel wilderness and might get opportunity to see wild animals like monkeys, red Pandas, Himalayan Black Bears etc.
From Lama Hotel the trail gradually climbs up to Ghora Tabela through a forest of hemlock, oaks, maples and rhododendron with spectacular, fleeting glimpses of Mt. Langtang Lirung (7,244m). Leaving Ghora Tabela, the path follows the delightful Langtang Khola, climbing steadily up to the spread-out Langtang village (3,500m). Langtang is another Tamang village with stone-and-wood houses and yak grazing pastures.
After Langtang valley we are now above the tree line and the landscape is typically high Himalayan with short grass, juniper bushes and scrub. The trail climbs gradually. Crossing the Laja Khola then climbs a moraine to a viewpoint where we can see Kyanjin Gompa and the dramatic icefall flowing from Langtang Lirung. And the trail descends to Kyanjin Gompa.
After breakfast our day trek begins with a steep climb to the top of Chorkari Ri. Enjoying spectacular panoramic mountain views of the whole Langtang Himalayas, including Langtang Lirung (7,244m), Langshisa Ri (6,810 m.), Gyanghempo (6,888 m.) Ganjala peak, Nayakang more. Besides, incredible mountain views, Langtang valley, icefall flowing from Langtang Lirung and Gyanghempo peak.
We trek down to Lama Hotel enjoying the view and the localities.
After the breakfast, follow down though the Langtang River. We will enjoy the last night dinner in the mountain.
Wake up and have a last breakfast in the Syabrubesi. We will be ready to drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Evening farewell dinner with culture show.
After breakfast, we will transfer you to Kathmandu international airport for departure to your home with the beautiful memory of Nepal Himalaya.
