The beautiful Ghorenapi Poonhill trek starts from Nayapul after a short drive from Pokhara; the trail passes through Rhododendron forest and the fascinating traditional Gurung village of Ghandruk, a wonderful opportunity to witness the culture and tradition of the Nepalese countryside. Along the way, there are spectacular views of the snowy peaks of the Annapurnas, capped off by the unforgettable mountain panorama from Poon Hill. An easy trek that takes you up to an elevation of 2800 meters at Ghorepani can also be combined as an extension trip to cultural tours of Kathmandu and Pokhara. The trip can be done throughout the year, including during monsoon season.
