Destination: Langtang Region Trek

The Langtang region trek takes us into some of the wildest and most scenic areas of Nepal, from the fertile rice basins of TRISULI to the dense forests of rhododendron and conifer on the higher slopes and the high alpine yak pastures, glaciers, and moraines around Kyangin Gompa. The remote holy lakes at Gosainkunda—along the route, we experience the whole range of Himalayan topography. The area, which lies in the Himalayan National Park and is still relatively undisturbed, supports a healthy population of wildlife, and there are good chances of seeing various species of wild goat and deer, possibly even better. Bird and botanical life are equally impressive, all set against the backdrop of the magnificent mountains.
