The Buddhist pilgrimage tour in Nepal is one of the best ways to explore various Buddhist religious sites, rejuvenating the spiritual and religious aspirations of Buddhism. The history of Buddhism goes back to 536, when Lord Buddha was born in Lumbini. From then on, Nepal has been a sacred place for meditation and spiritual exercise for various Buddhist monks and spiritual leaders. The Pilgrimage tour starts from the city of Kathmandu, where we will visit two of the largest stupas, Boudhanath and Swayambhunath (also known as the Monkey Temple).
We will experience the Buddhist chants and other structures in prayer flags and prayer wheels. We also visit Pharping Monastery, where Padmasambha meditated, and Kapan and Nomobuddha, where it is believed that Buddha Semche Chenpo offered himself to feed the hungry tiger cubs in Namobuddha. From Kathmandu, we head to the birthplace of Lord Buddha, Lumbini. There are various ancient remains, including the Ashoka Pillar, the Maye Devi Temple, the bathing pond, etc. Nepal Himalaya Tours offers well-organized trips at a budget cost to fulfill your religious aspirations. Apart from the caves and monasteries, you will learn various Buddhist followings and closely experience the spiritual activities of monks and nuns. We can also arrange Buddhist weddings for anyone interested in starting their life in a traditional way.
Accommodation is typically provided on a twin-sharing basis in downtown cities, though a single supplement can be requested for an additional fee. During peak season, it can be difficult to find single or twin rooms, so we suggest our valuable guests book their Buddhist holiday trip in advance. Our priority is always to provide clean and safe rooms for our guests. Nepal Himalaya Tours will provide all breakfasts and a farewell dinner on the final night of the trip. So, you will enjoy your dinner with a Nepali culture show.
You are always welcome for a round-the-year Kathmandu holiday tour except during the rainy season. Although this trip can be taken in winter as well, the cold temperature might not be very suitable for everyone.
You will be welcomed by our staff standing with your name card in the airport arrival terminal and transferred to your hotel by the private vehicle. At the evening, will be a dinner program in one of the Nepalese restaurants with typical Nepalese cuisine. There will be a small meeting about the trip as well.
